Update

This is a little update from Laos.

The last few weeks have been so nice. I`ve travelled a lot, seen a lot and met lots of wonderfull people.
I`ve visited Savannakhet. There I stayed for one night. Funny story actually. When we got on the buss, a girl from the church calls Kristian and says that she knows some people there, and they can help us with hotel and stuff. So anfter 9 hours on a bumpy bus, we`re being met by a youthminister in one of the churches there. And off course, we can stay at his place. The culture here is just amazing. People are so warm and helpfull, and they hold nothing back.

The next day we went to Thailand and Mukhdahan. There we stayed a few days with our mentor and his family. A weekend with pre-christmas spirit, norwegian food, wonderfull people, hanging out with Hanne and Cecilie from Hald, and lots more. I can`t describe how good it felt to have such a weekend. Thank you so much, all of you that made everything so nice.

But there`s no place like home. And I really think of Vieng Chan as my home, and I like it there. And now my life there are finally starting for real. Yesterday we had our first day of teaching english. 12 students at Naxay church were ready to be tought from the norwegians. unfortunately we were`nt well enough propered. So we had to finish the class a bit early. In the class, it was a huge gap, in knowledge of english. That made the teaching difficult, and we desided that we should divid the class, the next class. But it was very fun to teach like that. A bit strange when people older than you, don`t call you by your first name, but by saying teacher. But I left the class with a good feeling, looking forward to next class.

My life is good. Not even a fine from the police can stop us;)
